RE: CANCELLATION OF ANNUAL TRAIL TRIALS

Dear Membership,

After careful consideration and planning, we regret to inform you that our annual event scheduled for June 6, 2026, in Dunnigan, California, has been canceled. This decision was not made lightly, as we recognize the significance of this event to our members and the value it brings in fostering camaraderie, recognition, training, and engagement.

With the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco hosting this year’s World Cup soccer tournament, it has become evident that demand on public safety resources, staffing, and logistical support will be significantly elevated during this time. A large number of our members are expected to be directly involved in operational assignments related to these events. Ensuring adequate staffing levels, maintaining operational readiness, and supporting regional safety efforts must remain our top priorities. Moving forward with our Trail Trials event under these conditions would likely result in limited resources and a negative impact on player and fan safety.

While we are disappointed to cancel this year’s event, we are committed to ensuring that next year’s event returns stronger and more impactful than ever. Planning efforts will begin early, with the goal of enhancing the experience and maximizing participation across our membership.
